3 Top Ways to Remove Pet Hair from Your Vehicle

Whether your pet goes to work with you every day, rides with you only on occasion, or goes everywhere you go, pet hair in your vehicle can be a problem.

You have your pet lay on blankets, you even vacuum your vehicle regularly, but still, pet hair is embedded in the floor, in the upholstery of the seats, and in every nook and cranny of the vehicle.

So, how do you remove, and keep your car’s interior pet hair free?

1. Vacuum

The first step in any pet hair removal process begins with vacuuming. Removing the loose hair goes a long way in ridding your vehicle of most of the pet hair.

2. Rubber Glove

A rubber glove is one of the more common tools for removing pet hair from your vehicle’s upholstery or carpet. You can use one just like you use to clean dishes. Latex gloves can also be used.

Simply put on the rubber glove and run your hand over the carpeted areas and seats of your vehicle.

3. Duct Tape

Duct tape or packing tape can be used to grab those annoying hairs left by your furry little friend. While both types of tape can be used, packing tape is less likely to leave a residue, as it has a lighter touch.

Just wrap the tape around your hand (adhesive side out) and press firmly down. For maximum effectiveness, you will need to replace the tape as you go along.

Preventing Pet Hair

1. Brush your pet thoroughly before going out.

2. Purchase a pet seat cover for your vehicle.

3. Keep your pet contained in a crate or harness. This not only keeps the pet hair to a minimum; it also helps to keep them safe.
